Frequently Asked Questions

Is my pool big/deep enough?

We understand not every pool is the same, so we have made sure our bikes can be adjusted to fit any shape, size or depth.

My pool is salt/chlorine, will that be OK?

The bikes are made from aluminium/stainless steel and are perfectly designed for both salt water, chlorine water or any combination of both.

Does the bike move in the pool?

No, it is a stationary bike. The only thing moving will be you!

Will the bike damage my pool?

No, we have made sure our bikes adhere to a professional standard. Additional silicone pads and protective buffers protect your pool at all costs.

How confident in the water do I need to be?

You will only need to be confident enough to walk in the water.

Is there a minimum/maximum age, size or weight?

There is no limit to the age. However, the minimum height for our bikes is 1.5m and maximum 2m, and will carry weight up to 130kg.

What do I need to prepare for a session in my own pool?

We will just need access to the pool in order to bring the bikes. Our bikes will easily fit through a standard door/gate and are light enough for us to carry over obstacles.

How long does a session last?

A private pool session lasts for 45 minutes. A By the Bay session lasts for 30 minutes. Other public and hydrotherapy pool sessions can vary depending on the client and centre needs.

What should I bring?

Swimwear, Towel, bottle of water (your bike will have a water bottle holder).

Is my hair going to get wet?

Noooooo! You don’t have to stress about rinsing or washing your hair afterward. Isn’t that great?

I have had knee surgery, what are the benefits of Aqua Cycling for me?

Aqua Cycling is easy on the joints and great for your muscles. We encourage you to discuss with your GP/Physio and advise us of any pre-existing injuries so we can cater to this during your sessions.
